Cultivators is pleased to announce that registration for the Leafy Hydroponics Summit (LHS) 2025 is now officially open! This year’s event will bring together industry leaders, growers, and technology providers for a full two days of expert content focused on the future of international leafy green cultivation.

Program for Day 1 – A Full Day of Knowledge and Networking
The agenda for Day 1 of the invite-based event has now been released and includes a diverse range of topics; all aspects related to the leafy green sector. From in-depth cultivation insights, such as innovations, improved climate control, and systems know-how. To Discussion Panels of international growers and professionals, who will be sharing their approaches and perspectives, answering questions from the audience, and brainstorming together. And finally, to guest speakers who will discuss the market, retail, and business side of the sector. Attending the first day you get to network with the ‘right’ people in our industry, learn from the best, exchange opinions, and grow together.
The day begins with a welcome from Cultivators and a keynote presentation by Frank Hessing, the CEO of Hessing SuperVers. Hessing Supervers is a leading European processor of fresh fruits and vegetables, with a focus on ready-to-eat leafy greens such as salads and pre-cut vegetable mixes. Serving major retailers, food service providers, and fast-food chains across Europe, the company processes a few hundred thousand kilograms of raw materials weekly into high-quality, convenience-focused products.
Next Enza Zaden will present its vision on breeding and innovation in lettuce, followed by a session from Ammerlaan Construction on the essentials of building greenhouses tailored for leafy crops. Afterward, Green Production Systems will discuss production and cultivation efficiency growing on mobile gutter system, followed by a technical discussion panel that will further explore cultivation aspects and integration, among others. The morning session will end with a presentation from Sormac, discussing post-harvest solutions. By then it will be time for some networking over a warm and delicious lunch.
Vincent Kickert from Cultivators will take the stage after lunch to discuss key aspects of climate control in leafy green cultivation facilities. Following that, Oreon will give a presentation about leafy cultivation under LEDs. Next, Meteor Systems will be talking about growing using floats.
Later in the afternoon, the international growers’ panel Leafy Greens Across Borders will bring together operational perspectives from different regions around the world. Once again, we will welcome growers from all over the world to share their stories, and have an open conversation with other specialists who will be sharing the stage with them or sitiing in the audience.
Afterward, coming back from a nice coffee break, JASA Packaging Solutions will share its future views on international leafy greens processing. Following, A technical deep-dive session will feature presentations from Hoogendoorn, TTA-ISO, Maan Biobased Products, and more. They will focus on critical cultivation aspects, among others AI, automation, substrates, and climate control. The day will be concluded with a guest speaker, followed by time for networking and a delightful dinner.
Field trip – Day 2 Site Visits for Practical Insights
While the focus of the first day is on in-depth knowledge sharing, the second day of LHS 2025 will offer participants the opportunity to see industry best practices in action. The program for Day 2 will include guided visits to innovative cultivation facilities, as well as on-site tours of the Enza Zaden and JASA Packaging Solutions facilities. This provides attendees with a valuable opportunity to connect theory with practice and engage directly with operational experts. In addition, the guests will have an option to visit a plant propagator or a chrysanthemum vertical farm. A great opportunity to learn from other innovative aspects to integrate into their own farms.
