Following the success of its first edition last year, the Leafy Hydroponics Summit (LHS) is set to return on June 16-17, 2025, in the Netherlands. Organized by Cultivators, this exclusive event will once bring together key players in the hydroponic leafy greens sector to share knowledge, explore cutting-edge innovations, and strengthen professional networks.
A Platform for Growth and Collaboration
The LHS was launched in 2024 as an international two-day event for industry leaders, researchers, and innovators in the hydroponic leafy greens sector. Last year’s summit covered essential topics such as financing hydroponic operations, preventing tipburn in lettuce production, dynamic LED lighting strategies, and automation in controlled environment agriculture. Participants also engaged in interesting field visits to leading companies and research institutions, gaining hands-on insights into the latest advancements. Participants used their time for networking while enjoying lunch and dinner with industry leaders and their peers.
Building on this strong foundation, the 2025 edition promises to further explore the technological, agronomic, and business aspects of hydroponic leafy greens. The event will feature in-depth presentations, expert-led discussions, and exclusive networking opportunities. As in the previous year, the second day of the event will be a field trip. Then we will visit the locations of two of the partners, who will share about their recent innovations and research, among others.
Meet This Year’s Partners
For each edition of the Leafy Hydroponics Summit the collaborating partners will change, allowing different suppliers to join and present their products/services to the event’s international guests. For the LHS in 2025, we proudly collaborate with the following leading industry partners. They bring expertise, innovation, and excellence to the field of hydroponics. Enza Zaden, with 85 years of experience, is dedicated to developing innovative, high-quality vegetable varieties to feed the world. Meteor Systems, which started as a small family business, has become a world market leader in complete growing systems, offering solutions for, among others leafy greens and herbs. Sormac, having evolved from a solo trader to a global leader, takes pride in providing reliable machines and processing lines trusted worldwide. Ammerlaan Construction, founded in 1948 as Maurice Kassenbouw, has grown into an international leader in customized greenhouse horticulture projects. Oreon, a pioneer in LED technology since 2007, specializes in high-tech, water-cooled LED fixtures for greenhouse and vertical farming. Green Production Systems, a family-owned company with 35 years of hydroponics experience, leads the way in automated mobile channel systems. Last but not least, JASA Packaging Solutions, takes full ownership of total weighing and packing processes with their advanced equipment lines. Together, these partners contribute to the success of LHS 2025, pushing the boundaries of innovation in hydroponics.
Invitation-Only Participation
As the hydroponic leafy greens sector continues to evolve rapidly, the LHS serves as an invaluable forum for professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and collectively drive the industry forward. Due to the high level of specialization and industry relevance, participation in the Leafy Hydroponics Summit remains by invitation only. Please note that the event is organized for the target group of growers and investors. Other professionals interested in attending are encouraged to contact Cultivators or submit a request through the event’s official website.
In the coming weeks the full agenda will be shared, so please make sure to follow up on social media for the latest updates.
