The Assignment
Acting on behalf of its client, Triple Crown Ventures commissioned Cultivators to evaluate the technical condition and operational readiness of the production facility.
The audit was intended to provide an independent understanding of the facility’s current position, identify technical and operational risks, and determine which improvements or additional investments would be required for reliable production.
Cultivators evaluated the facility from a combined technical, agronomical and operational perspective. Rather than assessing individual installations in isolation, the team examined how the building, cultivation systems, environmental controls and production workflows operated together.

Scope of the Technical Audit
Cultivators assessed seven interconnected areas that determine whether a cannabis facility can operate reliably, efficiently and in line with its production objectives
- Building Layout and Workflow
- Room zoning, dimensions and workflows were assessed to determine whether the facility enabled efficient cultivation and post-harvest operations.
- HVAC and Environmental Management
- The climate systems were evaluated for their ability to maintain stable growing conditions, manage heat and humidity, and provide sufficient control and redundancy.
- Electrical Infrastructure
- Electrical capacity, load distribution and backup provisions were reviewed to establish whether the infrastructure could safely meet the demands of cultivation. Compliance with local legislation was referred to a qualified local specialist where required.
- Cultivation Lighting
- The lighting installation was assessed against crop requirements, room layout, controllability and its impact on the facility’s overall heat load.
- Irrigation and Water Management
- Water quality, filtration, fertigation, pump capacity and drainage were evaluated to determine whether the systems could deliver consistent and reliable irrigation.
- Controls and Monitoring
- Automation, alarms, remote monitoring and data logging were reviewed to establish whether environmental conditions could be managed consistently and deviations identified promptly.
- Operational Readiness
- The findings were brought together to identify technical limitations, production risks and further investments required before the facility could operate dependably and efficiently.
